The Chosen Sister Fund

Empowering Women Through Interest-Free Loans. The Duala Foundation is proud to introduce our latest project, the Chosen Sister Fund. This initiative aims to empower women in need in Ghana by providing interest-free loans to help them start their own businesses and improve their livelihoods.

Since its inception in October 2021, the Chosen Sister Fund has made a significant impact on the lives of 26 women across the Greater Accra, Central Region, and Volta Region of Ghana. The premise is simple yet profound: provide interest-free loans to women in need, encourage them to invest in their businesses and livelihoods, and instill a sense of responsibility to give back to the fund for the benefit of others.

The project’s objectives are clear: to enable chosen sisters to access zero-interest loans for business and livelihood improvements, with the commitment to repay the loan by contributing a dollar into the fund. This approach not only empowers the recipients but also creates a sustainable cycle of support and growth within the community.

With 40,000 Ghana Cedis distributed among 26 women, the fund has provided crucial financial support that has enabled these women to start or expand their businesses, improve their livelihoods, and create a better future for themselves and their families.

The Chosen Sister Fund exemplifies our commitment to creating sustainable change and empowering women in Ghana. We are excited to see the continued impact of this project as we work towards a brighter future for all. Through this project, Duala Foundation continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of women in Ghana, one chosen sister at a time.
